Josey- Portraits

I shot some pics of my friend Josey today! We became really good friends in high school & she's currently attending UNT. Josey loves movies and acting and the 80's and Mumford and Sons and Joseph Gordon Levitt and The Great Gatsby and anything Australian and the 90's and concerts and The Lumineers and Chicago. She's awesome.

A Great Day In Harlem- Film

I liked the movie. It was really cool how all musicians of this kind came together for one image. Because, as shown in the picture, there was, in fact, so many artists, one had to be extremely unique to stand out and develop a sense of originality. I especially liked the music of Thelonious Monk, Roy Eldridge, Lawrence Brown, and Johnny Griffin, as they were each very nostalgic and calming, yet different sounding. Listening to these artists while working on an art piece; for example, photo/ drawing/ etc., one might find it very calming and serene to work, and the music might inspire a new idea. I think I will try listening to this music next time I am at work.

 Brooklyn- like building.

 

 Costume shops are way cool.

 

 Awesome, old, shut-down theater.

 

 Most shops in the town, though, were shut down. It was a shame.

 

Beautiful church.

These buildings remind me of lovely Brooklyn.

 



Overall, the trip was... interesting.
