So simple that we forget how to do them and to even do them at all.
Fundamental Techniques in Handling People
- Principle 1: Don't criticize, condemn or complain.
- Principle 2: Give honest and sincere appreciation.
- Principle 3: Arouse in the other person an eager want.
Principle 2 is a reminder of how to live. Though not perfect, I personally live a life of gratitude and try my hardest to not take anyone or anything for granted and really embrace each moment I am blessed to live in. I tell people often how I appreciate them- little things. Focus on it. Being sincere in all you do. They will appreciate your appreciation and it will inspire them.
Principle 3 is very interesting. It is difficult to always keep other's wants in mind, but the more you practice, the better you will become. When someone asks me what I want, my first instinct is to reply with "What do YOU want?" I try to always put others' wants before my own. It is a phenomenal way to live.
